TEMPORARY CLOSURE - Adoptions will continue by appointment - Click here for info
We are an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) nonprofit rescue organization which works in conjunction with the HSV Property Owners Association Animal Shelter. Our mission is to place all rescued/surrendered adoptable companion animals into loving homes and to prevent the overpopulation of unwanted animals.
When donating, you will be directed to an online form to complete. After completing the form, you will be directed to our secure site to enter your payment information.
Since POA Animal Control can only take in animals from within the Village boundaries, HSVAWL will occasionally help with animals in need from the community surrounding Hot Springs Village. This might include strays located at the east or west gates, feral cats with kittens, animals from our veterinarians, or other special situations. Community animals are treated the same as those coming from Animal Control where HSVAWL gets them ready for adoption and finds them loving homes.
The memorial fund is to honor a special person or pet (living or deceased). The honored person/pet or their family is notified of the donation if an address is provided. For memorials of $50 or more, a digital plaque with the named person/pet is included on the HSVAWL Adoption Center memorial display.
Helps fund special needs pets. Sometimes animals come into our care that may have ongoing medical or other needs that if met, will allow them to be healthy, happy, and provide years of joy to their families. If eligible, Special Paws can help make sure that happens.
Helps fund older pets. Senior pets also come into our care occasionally. They too may have ongoing medical or other needs that if met, will allow them to live longer and happier lives. Silver Paws can help them find the right family that will care for them for the rest of their lives.
AWL's Golden Paws Society, a legacy gift program, lets you support our lifesaving work for animals in need well into the future. Legacy giving is for anyone who wants to create a lasting impact that will live on beyond their lifetime. All gifts, both large and small, make a difference. Many compassionate people donate to such charities during their lifetime, only a few have the foresight to continue their support with a legacy gift.
We hope you will be one of these special people that join the
Golden Paws Society with a gift to the AWL that costs nothing today.
These include gifts through your Will or Living Trust; retirements assets, life insurance plans or charitable gift annuities to name a few.
KAREN AND ROBERT HANSEN - Golden Paws Society Members
Two of these very special people are Karen and Robert Hansen. We are very grateful to them for their generous legacy gift to the AWL. During their lifetimes, Karen and Robert Hansen dedicated their lives to the service of animals of all kinds and had several pets of their own. Their philanthropic donation will enable us to provide much loving care to our pets that need a forever home.
We encourage you to talk with your financial advisor and/or attorney about these and other possibilities as the information presented here should not be construed as legal advice.
